Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to build a custom home with Lucid?
Every project is different, but most of our builds take between 9 and 12 months once construction begins. We’ll give you a realistic timeline upfront—and we’ll stick to it.
What’s included in your services?
We handle everything from pre-construction planning and permitting to the final walkthrough. That includes design coordination, budgeting, trade management, and construction oversight. You stay informed every step of the way.
How involved will I be in the process?
As involved as you want to be. We build with transparency and collaboration in mind, using technology and weekly check-ins to keep you in the loop without overwhelming you.
Do you offer fixed pricing or cost-plus?
We’re all about clarity. We provide detailed estimates with fixed-fee structures and transparent pricing models, so you know what you’re getting and what you’re paying for.
Can I bring my own architect or designer?
Absolutely. We’re happy to collaborate with your team or recommend designers we trust. Either way, we’ll work together to bring your vision to life.
What sets Lucid apart from other builders?
We don’t overload our calendar. We take on a limited number of builds so we can be fully present and dialed in for each client. That means more communication, fewer surprises, and results we’re proud to put our name on.
Do you only build high-end homes?
We specialize in custom homes, not cookie-cutter ones. That often puts us in the luxury category, but we’re more focused on delivering value and quality, regardless of price point.
Where do you build?
We’re based in Utah and primarily serve clients along the Wasatch Front, including Utah County and Salt Lake County. Not sure if you’re in range? Just ask.
How do you communicate during the build?
We believe communication is everything. You’ll get regular updates, milestone reports, and access to our project management platform so you’re always in the know.
When should I reach out if I’m thinking about building?
Now. The earlier, the better. Whether you’re still hunting for land or ready to pour footings, we can help guide you through next steps and avoid common pitfalls before they happen.
